So, yet again, I find myself enthralled by a hobby off the leash that threatens to consume all of my free time and resources. But honestly, Wood. Such a beautiful, warm, and forgiving material, is the object of my fascination.
Along side most people these days, I'm stunned by what can be learned when given enough time and YouTube tutorials. I must offer endless thanks to my loving and patient wife for pretending to not be bothered by my copious hours outdoors and the layer of wood shavings that accompany me when I do finally come back to the world.
We spent a pleasant afternoon together styling a few images to display some pieces produced by this obsession. I'm not sure I'm up to the task of describing the immense satisfaction that comes from making things. Its probably evidence enough of its own to look at how much I've made in just a years time. Please forgive my showing off, but boy does it feel good to do it.
